Bloomberg Critical On OUATIS Clan credits

Over on Bloomberg an article has been published that is very critical of the Once Upon A Time In Shaolin album. Through interviews with Killa Sin, Shyheim & the manager of U-God a reconstruction is attempted of the making of OUATIS. Echoed by these people is the sentiment that this started out as a new record for Cilvaringz, and not a Clan record. Besides that, many of them fell hurt & disrespected by the scheming around the recent release of the project. It’s a nice read to add to the ever revolving saga around this concept album.

Shkreli, who currently faces a prison sentence for fraud, may himself have been deceived about his $2 million purchase.

Old U-God Interview with Vice

Old but interesting interview on Vice with U-God. Right around the time Keynote Speaker dropped.

Let’s talk beef. Nas talked about a beef Raekwon and Biggie had around the time Ready to Die dropped. Did that beef involve the rest of the Clan members?
Nah, you know what that was? Back then, he was a hood nigga and we were hood dudes. We started a little ruckus with each other but it was nothing. If B.I.G. were still around we would have kept doing songs with him. I’m mad we never got a chance to do that. Meth was the only one in the crew who did a song with both Biggie and Pac. When I said “Put a Ruff Rider on my dick, and bust right through em” that was directed at The LOX when they were down with Ruff Ryders. I didn’t mean anything by it, it’s just what it was. But see how times change? I had Sheek on my last album, and I have Styles on this one, and I’ll probably get Jada on the next album.

U-God Hasn’t Been Paid?

U-God Is Reportedly Suing The Wu-Tang Clan For $2.5 Million | The FADER

Hawkins claims that it’s been six years since he’s received a royalty payment for any of the over 170 songs he contributed to the group’s catalogue, which began with appearances on their 1993 debut Enter The 36 Chambers. He also claims he hasn’t been receiving the two payments he’s entitled to every year from merch sales, or his share of the sale of Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, which was purchased last year for $2 million by Martin Shkreli.

Here we go again. I remember when U-God was angry years ago. This looks like the same. And that OUATIS is a Ringz album. Interesting.

U-God & Priest on radio interview

Wu Tang Clan are in the building as U-God passes through to talk all about his new album ‘Dopium’. Within the interview, U-God seeks to explore much more personal issues, revealing that he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and is learning to manage life with the disorder. He talks longevity, the problems with hip hop ‘artists’ and much more, in a very intimate and typically-Conspiracy Radio style feature.

Killah Priest swoops in full of life and energy to prelude his sophomore upcoming 2CD album, his new mixtapes, his DVDs and of course his participation within the Wu Tang Clan in 2009. Bizarrely, although contributors to the new Wu Tang Chamber Music Vol 1. neither U-God or Killah Priest really knew what the project is all about.

Uey is on the last 15 mins of the show. Priest before than.
